Give the work to Layr. Keep the relationship.

02What your book generates

Every policy makes work, every month.

Layr's own servicing rates, applied to a book of about 6,500 policies (you said 5,000 – 10,000). This is what is already happening behind Meridian Insurance Partners’ accounts, whether or not anyone is counting it.

each month
3,185service requestsRequests, carrier notices, documents and renewal workflows.
each month
24,375workflow activitiesEmail, calls, tasks, notes and documentation against those requests.
each month
1,820calls, in and outAbout half outbound — the follow-up that moves work forward.

Based on Layr’s managed book: an average of 0.49 service requests and 3.75 recorded activities per policy each month. Your own mix will vary with coverage, carriers and account complexity.

03What you told us

What’s in the way today.

The problems you chose, and what Layr's own operating data says about each of them.

  • 01
    Certificates consume too much capacity.
Certificate requests were 17.2% of operational tickets in the first half of 2026 — roughly one in six — and each active certificate ticket carried an average of 4.8 linked recorded activities. Routine does not mean trivial.
  • 02
Renewals are difficult to keep ahead of.
Renewal workflows were 22.8% of Layr's operational ticket volume in the first half of 2026 — nearly one ticket in four. Renewals are not a season; they are a standing share of the operation.
  • 03
Policyholder calls and emails interrupt everything.
Layr handled 16,132 calls in Q2 2026 alone, and almost half of them were outbound. Separately, 62.2% of recorded workflow activity was email. Communication is the work, not an interruption to it.

04Your operating model

Built from your answers, not a package.

Activation always comes first — nothing is operated before it is understood. Then the lanes your answers pointed to, one at a time.

Foundation
Book Activation
Before we operate the book, we make sure we understand it.
01
Certificates & Evidence
Certificates should take minutes from your relationship, not hours from your team.Because you said: Certificates consume too much capacity.
02
Policy State Management
Know what changed. Know what needs attention.Because you said: Renewals are difficult to keep ahead of.
03
Policyholder Service Desk
Your policyholders call your brand. Layr handles the work.Because you said: Policyholder calls and emails interrupt everything.
04
Renewal Management
Renewals shouldn't become emergencies.Because you said: Renewals are difficult to keep ahead of.
  • Your team gets back the capacity currently spent on routine servicing.
  • Routine work moves into a managed operating system rather than a longer queue.
  • Policyholders continue to experience your brand.
  • Layr owns the 4 workflows you delegate, including the follow-up that usually falls to whoever has time.
  • Each delegated workflow has a defined standard and an accountable owner.
  • Service performance is measured and reported rather than asserted.

05How Layr works

Work enters once. It comes out done, measured, and recorded.

Requests, notices, documents, calls and email arrive from everywhere. Layr takes them in through one intake, sends each to a named Service Lane, and every finished workflow lands in your Care Center and your own AMS.

  • Layr Care Center
  • Your AMS
Work reaches the book from six parties — carriers, wholesalers, brokers, policyholders, underwriters and automated notifications — through email, calls, documents, notices, certificate requests, policy changes and renewal dates. Carriers originate the largest share. All of it converges on a single Layr operating layer, which classifies and routes it into five specialized Service Lanes: Policy Service, Certificates, Renewals, Policy State and the Service Desk. The finished work lands in two places: the Layr Care Center, where the partner sees it, and the partner’s own agency management system, where the record is kept current.
01
One intake
Every channel, one door. Each request is classified and assigned before anyone works it.
02
Named lanes
Policy Service, Certificates, Renewals, Policy State, Service Desk. Specialists, standards, pooled capacity.
03
Two records
The Care Center shows the work measured. Your AMS carries the result. Nothing lives in an inbox.

06Under your brand

Your policyholders see Meridian Insurance Partners.

Everything a policyholder receives carries your name, your logo and your colors — the email, the certificate, the portal. We could not resolve your brand from your email domain, so these previews use Layr's palette; yours drops in during activation.

Meridian Insurance Partners gets its own Care Center: a service dashboard on the standards Layr is held to, every account's activity as it happens, and a formal escalation path. And the record in your own AMS is kept current by the same operation that did the work.

08The first 150 days

Most agencies have never handed this work to anyone. We guide the change.

One lane at a time, measured before the next. What Layr does, what your people do, and what they get to stop doing.

  1. 01Days 1–30
    Activate
Layr: We establish the book with you: accounts, policies, dates, documents, service rules, your brand on everything a policyholder sees. You: Walk us through how you do things today. Nothing changes for your policyholders yet.Let go of: Nothing yet. This is the part where we learn your book.
  2. 02Days 31–60
    First lane live
Layr: One workflow moves to Layr — usually certificates. We handle every request end to end and report each one. You: Watch it work. Ask about anything. Your team still sees every request in the Care Center.Let go of: Checking each certificate before it goes out.
  3. 03Days 61–90
    Measure and tune
Layr: Performance runs against the standard we agreed. We tune the lane to your book's patterns. You: Read the dashboard instead of the inbox. Escalate anything formally — it gets an ID and an answer.Let go of: Micromanaging the queue. The numbers do that now.
  4. 04Days 91–150
    Extend and step back
Layr: Renewals, policy state and the service desk follow, one at a time, each measured before the next. You: Producers sell. Account managers work the accounts that need judgment. Layr carries the rest.Let go of: Oversight of routine work. You keep the relationship and the standards.
this is where the letting go happens

09Next steps

Your book is already creating the work. Decide who carries it.

Three conversations, in order. None of them is a commitment; each one makes the next one specific.

  1. 01
    Walk through this together
Thirty minutes with Layr on this presentation — what fits, what does not, what we missed.
  2. 02
Agree the first lane and its standard
Usually certificates. A defined scope, a defined standard, a date.
  3. 03
    Activate the book
We establish the book with you. Servicing starts only when it is understood.
