Accessibility

Built to be used by everyone.

Layr builds this website to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the standard we design against and the standard we expect to be held to.

What is built in

  • Semantic HTML with a correct heading hierarchy on every page
  • Full keyboard operation, including the navigation and the service model builder
  • A visible focus indicator on every interactive element, never removed
  • Color contrast checked against AA for text and interface elements
  • Motion that respects the operating system's reduced-motion setting
  • Content that never depends on an animation running to become visible
  • Descriptive text alternatives for diagrams, carrying the same argument as the image
  • Form fields with real labels and errors described in text, not only in color

How it is checked

Every page is tested for keyboard operation, color contrast, heading structure and layout from 320 pixels upward, and those checks run automatically on each release rather than once at launch. Independent auditing and broader assistive-technology testing continue as the site grows.
